The Daily Cowman is Larry’s blog about ranch life in Washington state. I love the cowboy silhouette on his site, very unique.
1. What made you want to start your blog?
I have always loved writing and I love telling stories. I felt what better way to connect with people all over the world than a blog about what I do as a rancher here in Washington state. I also had lost my father in 2008 to an accident and felt a blog may be therapeutic to missing him and the days we shared together working.
2. What has been the biggest surprise since you started? or something you didn’t expect:
Biggest surprise is how many people outside the US read the blog, I did not expect how difficult it would be to find time to post regularly.
3. What is your favorite post and why?
4. Why should other farmers & ranchers be online?
Simple, it is where the consumers of our products are, and consumers want honest answers from honest people.
5. Do you have any future plans for your site?
There is some problem in my background that is keeping comments from being posted and that needs fixed, I also plan to buckle down again in 2012 and post more regularly. I need to also get a Facebook and Youtube account and connect it to the blog.
Those are some great goals for the new year. Until Larry gets his comment form working you can subscribe to his blog, The Daily Cowman. Also follow him on twitter: @TheDailyCowman
