After you get your blog going, you have a number of posts published. You kinda get into a nice groove of putting your content out there, posting pictures of the cows, writing about hauling grain. Then it eventually happens. You go on vacation, to a conference, or just something comes up unexpectedly where you have to be gone for a number of days. Unless you have a couple of blog posts in the hole that can be pulled out, your blog is up the creek and put on the back burner. Happens all the time.
For me it would be the creek, because I never have a blog post sitting around waiting to be sent out. Last week while at a national convention I wish I had posted a few articles to my blog. I took some pictures with my iphone but waited til I got home to start writing the post. Next time I will be prepared. How, you ask. What else does an ag nerd do but download an app.

blackberry: couldn’t find an app for this phone
Blogging from my smartphone will also come in handy when I’m in the field this spring or taking the kids to livestock judging contests and cattle shows.
