Blogging on the Roadmobile blogging

After you get your blog going, you have a number of posts published. You kinda get into a nice groove of putting your content out there, posting pictures of the cows, writing about hauling grain. Then it eventually happens. You go on vacation, to a conference, or just something comes up unexpectedly where you have to be gone for a number of days. Unless you have a couple of blog posts in the hole that can be pulled out, your blog is up the creek and put on the back burner. Happens all the time.

For me it would be the creek, because I never have a blog post sitting around waiting to be sent out. Last week while at a national convention I wish I had posted a few articles to my blog. I took some pictures with my iphone but waited til I got home to start writing the post. Next time I will be prepared. How, you ask. What else does an ag nerd do but download an app.

android: You can easily publish posts with pictures, labels and location information. Also, you can view the list of posts and if you have multiple accounts or blogs

blackberry: couldn’t find an app for this phone

Blogging from my smartphone will also come in handy when I’m in the field this spring or taking the kids to livestock judging contests and cattle shows.

  • I just started my blog and never even thought about blogging from my iPhone. Such an awesome idea! Being a college student, it’s hard to find time to physically sit down and blog. So doing it on the go is fantastic! Thanks for the help!

    • @Nicole723 You are very welcome, Nicole. Congratulations on the new blog.

The WordPress App is really convenient for Wordless Wednesday posts, and I am also using it for starting drafts when I have an idea for a new post

    • @AaronBobeck that’s pretty much what @thefarmerslife Brian Scott said in google+. I am using italk and audionotes apps to catch ideas while I am driving or aren’t able to type. Can’t decide which one I like better.

  • I am almostĀ embarrassedĀ to admit that I had not thought of downloading the WordPress app for my iPhone. I love apps! I am on the road all the time and can’t wait to utilize it. Thanks for all the tips!
